Green Tiger

Green Tiger is a responsive WordPress theme created for visual based portfolios and/or text-heavy work. Green Tiger was designed striving for balance between content and white-space, always allowing room for the work itself to breathe. We have emphasised the relative importance of the different elements establishing a consistent design language throughout the website with a strong visual hierarchy.
Its four corner navigation menu will set your website apart from the all the other websites with a top header.
Green Tiger comes with its own documentation providing clear instructions on how to set up the posts, works, pages and menus .

How a posts display on smart phones

If the user’s work is text heavy, Green Tiger uses the classic “Post” panel, a simple WYSIWYG editor that encloses all the WordPress potential. By adding a new post, this theme will display the content in three, two or one column, depending on the browser window size.

Visual works/portfolio

“Work archive page” displays thumbnails randomly every time the page is refreshed

If the work is more image based the user can upload the images into different portfolio-posts (works), select a thumbnail and write captions for the the images.
The Works’ thumbnails are used to create an archive page that randomly positions the images. Example http://www.greentiger.internetbravo.com/works.

Green Tiger responsive layout demonstration

Green Tiger will try to organize your Posts according to the screen’s width. On mobile devices and small tablets Green Tiger will generate a one column layout. If you are on a laptop or desktop, go ahead and resize your browser’s width to see how the content flows from one column to two columns (until three columns in bigger screens). Green Tiger is optimised for the more than 98% of the smartphones and tablet on the market, so chances are the look will be the same for all your visitors.

Four Corners Menu on any device

Green Tiger’s four corner navigation menu will immediately set your website apart from the all the other websites with a top header. The first four menu-items (two on the header and two on the footer) are prioritarily positioned on the corners allowing a clean scroll through the content and giving Green Tiger a unique navigation approach. You have add more or less than four menu-items and Green Tiger will automatically spread them along the header and the footer.

Contact Page and Online Shop

One of the Green Tiger best features is that it integrates some of the most demanded and highly rated free WordPress plugins in a seamless way. This means that if you decide to have a direct contact page or an online shop these plugin will adopt your site’s style. We have chosen Woocommerce to be our online retail platform.

Online shop with blended Woocommerce

A customisable contact page is available in Green Tiger via Contact Form 7. Please read our documentation to know more about these plugins (where to download them, and other helpful tips). We do not provide support on these plugins, but they are by far the most robust WordPress E-commerce and Contact forms platforms.

Draggable thumbnails

On the “Works” archive page, Green Tiger adds an extra layer of fun allowing visitors to click and drag the thumbnails around. When the visitor clicks on an image, the works post will display the images in order, maximising the use of the central area of the screen and automatically creating a slideshow (that is prompted whenever the user clicks on one of the images).

If the user’s work is more image based, Green Tiger offers a “Works” backend panel to upload the images into different Work posts. We suggest Works’ images to be 1200px wide for a good compromise between resolution and loading speed. The Works’ thumbnails are then used to create an archive page that randomly positions the images/links to the different works; like this: (http://www.yourdomain.com/works).

If the user’s work is text heavy, Green Tiger uses the classic “Post” panel. By adding a new post, the them will display the content in three, two or one column, depending on the browser window size. The user can of course place images along the flow of the text to illustrate the narrative but these images will always adopt an encyclopedic look, where the image are resized to fit the columns. In the end the “Posts” will have the same appearance as this post.
